Welcome to the Sunny Slope Orchards website!

Here at Sunny Slope, we are a family-owned business in Bridgeton, New Jersey (Hopewell Township / Cumberland County) that has grown from 20 to over 800 acres in 80 plus years.  We grow peaches and nectarines that are mainly shipped commercially, but we also have a small retail market at the entrance of the farm's packing house where the peaches and nectarines are sold.  Apples are grown as well and sold at the farm's market, along with our custom-blended cider.

Now that the New Year is here, the 2011 peach and apple season has come to a close.  The fruit certainly had an interesting growing season out in the orchard this past year, but they "weathered the storm(s)"...and even an earthquake!  We appreciate all the positive comments we received on the flavor of the peaches this year, so we have to thank Mother Nature for her help in that area.

Although most of us are enjoying the mild winter we are having, and not needing to get the snow shovel out of the garage as of yet, the fruit trees would like it to be a little colder, for a little longer, before they awaken in the Spring.  We'll have to defer to Mother Nature...and hope for the best.

Thank you to our many loyal customers who made the effort to stop by our farm to purchase fruit and cider this past season.  We are grateful of your continued support.

We also appreciate the area produce stands who choose our peaches for sale at their locations.  All of us here in southern New Jersey are fortunate to have many great produce stands available to us here in the surrounding area, many of which are connected to farm operations.  Please frequent them to help support New Jersey agriculture, and our community.

Thank you to the many supermarket stores such as Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Acme, Wegmans, Giant and WholeFoods who put great effort in offering locally grown produce.  We appreciate their support of New Jersey agriculture and the Jersey Fresh program.

We appreciate the friendly comments we have received through our website and also to those of you who "Like" us on our facebook page.  As a thank you, when you visit our retail stand, mention that you are a facebook friend to receive a discount on your purchase.

We wish everyone a happy, healthy, and safe 2012, and we look forward to seeing you this coming Peach season.

Thank you for stopping by our website.
