Welcome to the Sunny Slope Orchards website!

Here at Sunny Slope, we are a family-owned business in Bridgeton, New Jersey (Hopewell Township / Cumberland County) that has grown from 20 to over 800 acres in 80 plus years.  We grow peaches and nectarines that are mainly shipped commercially, but we also have a small retail market at the entrance of the farm's packing house where the peaches and nectarines are sold.  Apples are grown as well and sold at the farm's market, along with our custom-blended cider.

Now that Summer is finally here, another peach and nectarine season is just days a way.  The Spring weather was very good for the development of the fruit.  Like everyone else in our area is thinking right now, we could do without a few of these heat wave days Summer has brought with it.  Naturally, an occasional gentle shower versus these occasional storms we've been experiencing would be great too.  As a positive, the fruit like moisture and warm days.

There are a few photos on the Photo Gallery page of the peach trees in bloom from back in April.  It's always the prettiest time of year around the orchard, but unfortunately, only lasts a few days.  In a couple of photos, you may see a bee or two doing their job on the farm.  We hope to add a few more photos as this season progresses.

A big thanks goes to everyone involved here: Tony (who thankfully, didn't retire yet), Ron, Dave, Reyes, Rita, Paul, all the kids who helped out in the packing house last summer and fall, Adrian and the field crew.

Thank you to our customers.  We hope you will again choose to enjoy some of our peaches this year, whether from your local supermarket or our own retail stand, or from the local farm markets who offer our peaches along with other Jersey Fresh produce.  We truly appreciate your patronage.

Hopefully, with help from Mother Nature to provide favorable growing conditions through the rest of the Summer, we look forward to having sweet peaches and nectarines coming in early July.  We will keep you posted on how things are going out in the orchards.

Thank you for stopping by our website.
