Peach Bran Bread

2 cups really ripe, sliced peaches
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2/3 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup bran
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda


Combine peaches, egg, oil, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon together and blend thoroughly.  Add whole wheat and all-purpose flours, bran, baking powder and baking soda and mix until just moistened.  Spread batter in greased 2-quart loaf dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.  Makes 8-10 servings.
